Angelica is a second-generation Mexican American, born to an immigrant father and a Chicana mother. The Saucedo household had a strong commitment to preserving and practicing their Mexican roots and culture. Growing up in the South Side of Chicago, she recognized the challenges that underserved communities, particularly BIPOC communities, faced in accessing avenues for creative expression such as music and art.

Angelica identifies as a self-taught photographer, focusing on lifestyle, street, and in-studio photography while utilizing Fotolab's resources. Her primary focus is to represent BIPOC individuals in her imagery.
